SKU or “Stool Kit Unit” is an entryway stool that when disassembled contains a survival kit and converts to a barrier that helps mitigate flooding during a storm. The design is inspired by lightweight flood guards that were shown at the Office Disaster Prevention Expo in Chiba, Japan.

Designed in collaboration at Chiba University with Huang Qiyun, Sarankorn Povorasin, and Osamu Nakazawa.
