Maize

Maize is a set of flatware that is part of a collaboration with Industrial Designer Brittany Gene. It is designed to be used by non-native participants in the Thanksgiving meal, to reframe Thanksgiving into a time to discuss the truth of what happened/happens to Native Americans at the hands of colonization and raise funds for local tribes with the proceeds of its sale.

*The flatware initially had the phrase “You are on Native Land” stamped on the back, which has since been removed as it that phrase is the logo/ trademark for an Indigenous owned company
